The Queensland Independent Schools Parents Network (QIS Parents Network) is proud to represent the families of more than 140,000 students enrolled in Queensland’s 229 independent schools.
We are regularly consulted by governments and other peak education groups on policy matters that affect the families of independent school children.
We are also a strong advocate for positive and respectful learning partnerships between schools, parents and children – a burgeoning area of research known as ‘parent engagement’.
Our People
The QIS Parents Network is governed by a Board of Directors.
The QIS Parents Network’s Executive Officer is supported by a Consultative Committee comprised of parents from small and large independent schools across Queensland.
We regularly update the news section of our website with topical stories about changes in the schooling sector and the latest research on student well-being. Our Facebook page also keeps our community of parents, schools and supporters up-to-date with relevant and informative news and information. You can also join our email list here.
