Schools serving disadvantaged communities can apply for funding to undertake projects that will enhance the engagement of parents and carers in student learning.
Schools Plus, which is an organisation that connects donors with deserving school projects, is giving Queensland state and non-state schools the chance to apply for grants up to $70,000.
According to Schools Plus, its Fair Education Program supports high priority projects that “will improve student outcomes by increasing family and community engagement”.
Since the program launched in NSW in 2016, it has supported a range of projects including transition-to-school programs and technology-based solutions to establish and strengthen engagement with parents and the wider community.
Schools with an ICSEA value below 1000 are eligible to apply for the 2018 Fair Education Program.
To check your school’s ICSEA value, visit your school’s profile on the My School website.
